CWA Seeking Leadership Candidates

The 2011 CWA Nominating Committee is looking for a few good men and women to serve!     

We are seeking candidates for the following officers in the November 2011 election: 
(1) CWA President - a one-year term
(2) Three Council seats -  each is a two-year term

Anyone who is interested must notify us AS SOON AS POSSIBLE and absolutely no later than June 30, 2011.  The Nominating Committee will interview all candidates and select an official slate which will be announced to the membership immediately via the website, ProList and email membership list. The slate will also be published in the Fall MEOW. 

Please help CWA grow and prosper. You'll find that serving in office will also help YOU grow personally and professionally.

Serving as president, for example, heightens your profile among editors and others looking to hire writers, and it broadens your horizons --  especially your event planning skills!   

The NomCom will talk with everyone who inquires, so don't be shy. 

The Nominating Committee -- consisting of Fran, Kim Campbell Thornton and Ramona Marek -- can provide job descriptions and answer questions based on their experience.  FYI, we have consulted CWA's current vice president (Dusty Rainbolt), secretary (Wendy Christensen) and treasurer (Allene Tartaglia) who have agreed to run for reelection in 2011.  We thank them all for their continued service!
